About me
Mandy began her yoga journey in 2011 when she enrolled in a 200 hr yoga teacher training. With no initial intention of teaching, she quickly discovered a deep love for sharing yoga and the path of self-care with others—especially holding a safe, welcoming space where students can explore their greatest teacher: themselves. Throughout her teaching journey, Mandy has worked with yogis of all ages and backgrounds. She created a “Yoga During Recess” program for a local nonprofit and has been a pioneer in bringing yoga to the schools. She completed an additional 300 hours of advanced yoga training in 2015 and has studied trauma-informed yoga with David Emerson, Ayurveda with Hilary Gilvaltis of Kripalu, and Thai Massage with Deon DeWitt. In 2020, Mandy earned her Pilates Mat Certification, and in 2025 she completed her Classical Pilates Reformer training at Body Aligned Pilates Studio in Wilmington, deepening her passion for intentional movement, alignment, and strength-based practices. Often described as quirky and playful, Mandy’s classes blend movement, mindfulness, reflection, and awareness, with themes of self-love thoughtfully woven throughout. Her teaching style harmonizes spiritual wisdom with the lightheartedness of everyday life, creating a practice that feels both grounding and joyful. Mandy leads national and international women’s yoga and wellness retreats, yoga teacher trainings, and is the owner of Salty Dog Yoga & Surf. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her in overalls, wandering in nature, creating art, or soaking up time with her daughter.
